My Approach to Mentoring
With over 30 years experience as a people manager and leader, and over 25 years Project and Programme Management experience up to senior levels, I have learnt from my successes and my mistakes.
My aim is to use this experience to help you as a current or aspiring project / programme manager to be the best that you can be, by:
- Understanding your current position, challenges faced or what concerns you may have, what you need to know about the role you are in or aspire to be in.
- Providing a tailored programme to work through the areas identified in a flexible manner.
Mentoring Sessions May Include
Asking searching questions, helping you consider your skill set and match to a role, and where you may need further development.
•Using pre-prepared modules to work through considerations around key elements of applying project management methodology in the real world.
•Providing hints and tips and practical ways to keep your project progressing with examples of what has or has not worked from my own experience.
•Talking through what it is really like in a Project Manager or Programme Manager role and how this is influenced by the culture and operating environment you are in.
